A Hidden Layer Of Motivation

(My roommate and I are watching TV in a common room.)

Me: “So, I thought we’d eaten all of the chocolates [Housemate] gave us…”

Roommate: “There was one left.”

Me: “Yes, and I ate it. And then I went to throw the box away, and it was heavier than I expected, so I looked inside and there was a whole other layer of them.”

Roommate: *wordlessly gets up and goes to our room*

Me: “Gee, where might you be going…?”
