A Giant Fan
(My niece loves ‘Harry Potter’ as much as any two year old can love anything. She loves it so much that she calls any woman with frizzy brown hair ‘Hermione,’ and says her last name is Potter. One day, she meets my very big, gruff dad. She comes into the kitchen with her mom, and sees my dad talking to my frizzy-haired mom.)
Niece: “Hermione!”
My Dad: *mock growls at her*
Niece: *looks terrified at him*
Me: *points at my dad* “Hagrid!”
(My niece beams her biggest smile ever. She still calls him Hagrid.)
