(The professor of this psychology class is very big on only teaching what has been verified through legitimate research. In one lecture, she has to cover the early days of the field…)

Professor: “Even though today we have reason to question many of Freud’s assumptions, in many ways he invented the field of psychology. He was one of the first to ask questions about what happened in the human mind and how that affected behavior. He started looking for the reasons behind mental and emotional symptoms in a way that no one else at the time was doing. We would not be here in this class today without his pioneering efforts.”

(There is a pause for effect.)

Professor: “Moving on from Fraud…”

(The entire class burst out laughing. The professor just put her head down on the lectern and laughed.)
