A Figure To Look Up To
(My mum is driving us to the mall. At an intersection, I see a couple of teenage girls with really short skirts and skimpy tops, similar to what I used to wear in high school only a couple years earlier.)
Me: “Mum, why didn’t you mind it when I used to dress like that in high school? My friends’ parents would have yelled at them if they dressed like I had.”
Mum: “When I was your age, I used to wear the same things, so I didn’t think it would hurt. I knew you would grow out of it.”
Me: “Aww, thank you mu—”
Mum: “Oh, and I had a better figure than you.”
