A Different Kind Of Zoom Call
A woman from one of the schools we supply utilities to calls in complaining.
Caller: “Your invoices are always too small to read!”
Me: *Confused.* “All our invoicing is the same size, and we haven’t had any other complaints about it.”
Caller: “This problem only began when you switched to electronic invoicing! For the last few months, I’ve needed a magnifying glass to read the bills and I’m completely fed up with it!”
Me: “Our electronic invoicing is sent out in PDF files. Have you tried zooming in to the document?”
Caller: “Zooming in? What’s that?”
It takes about twenty minutes for me to get her to find the zoom buttons, but we get there.
I have to wonder why none of her colleagues commented when she was sitting looking at her computer screen through a magnifying glass…
