(I’m using my friend’s computer and his chat window is up. We have the same circle of friends, and I am at his place so often, I would chat with people on there on a regular basis. A mutual friend logs on.)
Me: “Hey, [Mutual Friend].”
Mutual Friend: “Is this [Friend], or [My Name]?”
Me: “Wouldn’t you like to know?”
Mutual Friend: “Oh. Hey, [My Name].”
Me: “What gave me away?”
Mutual Friend: “You used a contraction and you spelled it right.”
