(I’m on the computer when I receive a message from a friend of mine. I’m not well acquainted with any of his other friends, but from what little I know of them, and him, they are rather strange.)
Friend: “SCHMOOPYDOO! …Whoops, wrong person.”
Me: “The fact that you would say that to any person concerns me.”
Friend: “It’s an inside joke between me and a friend.”
Me: “Now I’m concerned for your friend, too.”
Friend: “Well, it is [Name].”
Me: “Ah, so it’s not a new concern.”
Friend: “Precisely.”
