Her Science Has Two Less Legs To Stand On
(The previous day, our science teacher had brought in leaf packs from a local river for us to search for bugs. She has a few in the back saved as samples for next year, and one kid is looking at them.)
Student #1: “Hey, [Teacher], what’s this bug back here?”
Teacher: “Is it black? Does it have big eyes, and six legs?”
Student #2: *jumping out of her seat and freaking out* “[Teacher], you have a spider back there?! Oh, my god! Oh, my god! Get rid of it!”
Teacher: “We’ve reached a new low.”
(This was a ninth-grade science class and the bug was a dragonfly with no wings!)
