Making Being Annoying An Art Form
(There is a boy in my class who is notorious for being rude and annoying. Unfortunately, I sit next to him in art class, which is where this story occurs. We are working on charcoal drawings.)
Boy: “You’re copying me, [My Name]. Teacher, [My Name] is copying me!”
(The teacher ignores him, because she knows he’s just being annoying. I lean over and look at his paper and see that I am actually further then he is.)
Me: “I must be working in reverse, then.”
(He is quiet for a few moments, until:)
Boy: “That’s bad. Your art is really bad. Like, there’s terrible, and then there’s that.”
Me: *fed up* “Do you think you’re going to get married some day?”
Boy: “Obviously.”
Me: “Good luck finding a girl who puts up with all your bulls***. I’ve only been sitting here for ten minutes and I already can’t stand you.”
Boy: *hollering* “TEACHER! [My Name] IS BULLYING ME! SHE HURT MY FEELINGS!”
(Again, the teacher ignores him, and he shuts up until deciding on a different strategy.)
Boy: “Oh my God, [My Name], SHUT UP!”
(I wasn’t talking. He repeats this several times, getting progressively louder, until I can’t concentrate on my work at all. I jab him in the arm with my charcoal pencil.)
Boy: “TEACHER! [My Name] stabbed me!”
Teacher: “Good. You deserve it.”
