A Pinch Of Words
(I am a special needs preschool teacher, and my children have some challenging behaviors. In group time, Child #1 keeps pinching Child #2.)
Me: “[Child #1], it hurts to pinch! If you want [Child #2] to look at you, use your words.”
Child #1: *turns to Child #2 and says earnestly* “Words!”
