(My last exam to graduate is an oral exam in German. I have learnt by heart some things to say about each topic. On the day, the professor asks about family.)
Me: “My mom is a nurse. My dad is a mechanic. They all play volleyball on Sunday. My sister was born on the 1st of May—”
Professor: *frowns* “Is this actually true?”.
Me: *panicking* “Yes, yes, it’s all true.”
Professor: “That’s strange, because that’s exactly what was on page 75 of your German book.”
