(My district has an online grading system. As soon as I grade an assignment, my students and their parents can view their grades. It is Friday morning.)
Student: “Are you going to grade all of the reports tonight?”
Me: “No. There’s no way I will get all of these reports graded tonight. Sorry.”
Student: “Okay, good. I want to go somewhere with a friend tomorrow, but when my dad sees my grade on this report he isn’t going to let me go. Can you make sure mine’s on the bottom of the stack so it won’t get graded until later?”
