When I was fourteen, I was walking down a crowded corridor at school with a few friends. There were people queuing outside classrooms either side of the corridor, so we were walking single file. This exchange took place with a boy I didn’t know who stood outside a classroom.
Boy: I love you.
Me: *turns slowly* I know.
I said this with a completely straight face. Needless to say, my friends were very proud of me.
