(One of my classmates is very gullible. My girlfriend and I make up a story about the guest speaker stapling our teacher to the gym floor. We think that’s the end of it.)

Gullible Classmate: Mr. [Teacher’s Name], is it true that you were stapled to the gym floor?

Teacher: Was I…what?!

(My girlfriend and I are somewhere between freaking out and trying not to laugh, so it’s pretty obvious we’re the ones responsible for this ridiculous rumour. So we had to explain)

Teacher: …I’m definitely going to get you guys back for this. Some day. When you least expect it.

(This particular teacher was known for actually following through on those threats with pranks. Luckily, we escaped retribution!)
