(My Environmental class is small, and we often show up early and chat with our professor about current events.)

Classmate: So, [Professor], where do you think you’ll go when you retire?

Professor: Well, there’s one place way, way out east that’s the richest city in the world. Everybody’s got nice cars, and big fancy buildings.

Classmate: Where is that?

Professor: They’ve got the tallest building in the world… I can’t for the life of me remember what it’s called right now.

Me: Wait, Dubai? United Arab Emirates?

Professor: That’s the one!

Classmate: “United” what now?

Me: *enunciating as clearly as I can* United Arab Emirates, over near Saudi Arabia.

Classmate: I’ve never heard of that.
