(I have to wear a wrist brace for a short period after I injure my wrist in a really stupid way. Naturally everyone, from friends to relatives to strangers, asks me what’s wrong and if I’m okay, which inevitably leads to the response…)
Person: “Oh, my gosh, are you all right? What happened?”
Me: “Gamer’s wrist. It’s numb and painful because I played too much Fallout 4.”
(Responses range from sympathetic nods to laughter to my grandmother sighing and walking away.)
