Twin Timing

(My friends and I are at a football game one evening. I’m talking to one of them near the concession stand, when two boys from the other school approach and start talking to us. I would like to note that while roughly the same height, we look very different. I am pale with red hair and blue eyes, and she is tanned with brown hair and brown eyes. Different body types, completely different facial features. Spending so much time together, we talk similarly and have pretty much the same mannerisms, but she has a southern accent and I do not.)

Guy: “Are y’all twins?”

(My friend and I both slowly turn our heads to look at each other, confused expressions, and just as slowly turn back to look at the guy.)

Us: *simultaneously* “Nooooooooooo.”

(This probably didn’t help the confusion.)
