Can’t Think On Their Feet

(I am in college, and celebrating a friend’s birthday party with a bonfire. The air is very chilly and humid, and one of my friends is wearing sandals.)
Friend: “My feet are so cold! I wish there was such a thing as tiny sweaters for your feet.”
Me: “You mean socks?”
Friend: “…oh.”
