Unfiltered Story #67489

(I am fairly new at a cell phone store, couple is rude from the start of our interaction.)

Me: “Hello, how can I help you today?”

Woman: “My husband needs a new phone.”

(Man shows me his ancient blackberry.)

Me: “What kind of phone are you looking for today? A smart phone? Something more basic?”

Woman: “A smart phone, but something easy to use.”

(I ask some questions about what it is they want the phone to do, as well as ask the wife what type of phone she has, she tells me she has a 4S.)

Me: “Because your wife has the iPhone 4S, I recommend going with an iPhone as well, that way if you have any questions with it she can help you out.”

(Couple agrees with me.)

Me: “So what size and color would you like? We have gold, silver, and gray, all in 16 or 32?”

Man: “Silver is fine. Just get a silver one.”

(He seemed completely annoyed with me that I even offered a choice of color.)

Coworker: “I was looking at your plan, and what you’re paying now, and saw that if we change you over to this new plan we can save you about $30 a month.”

Wife: (annoyed that he even offered) “No, I don’t want to change anything. I want to keep everything the same.”

Me: “Okay, no problem.”

(I continue through the upgrade process.)

Me: “Would you guys like a case for your new phone?”

Woman: “No. I’ll just get one from Walmart.”

Me: “Okay, how about a screen protector so the screen doesn’t get scratched?”

Woman: “No. I have those at home too.”

Me: “Okay, your total today is $???”

(When you upgrade your phone, you get a paper that has your estimated new charges, but for some reason they are always wrong. The woman then spent 20 minutes going over every single detail of this bill, forcing me to take off existing insurance, and making me have to explain everything on their. She finally left unhappy, like I had somehow forced them to come in and upgrade their phone.)

Then a few days later we got a survey back of all ones and a willing to recomend of no. Fairly certain who that survey was from.
