(I work at a location of a popular chain coffee shop. In the same building as us is a fast food place. People often come through our drive thru, thinking it’s the fast food place’s.
Today, I’m working drive thru.)
Me: Welcome to [coffee shop]. This is [my name], how can I help you?
Customer: Yeah, can I have a Baconater?
Me: Sir, the [fast food place] drive thru is around the back of the building. This is [coffee shop].
Customer: Oh… Can I have two double cheeseburgers then?
Me: -rethinks entire life-
