Unfiltered Story #67319

Unfiltered | October 6, 2016

Sometimes when we are out of a product that a customer wants, we take their name and number and offer to contact them when we have it again. I did the week’s round of calls (all of which I had to leave messages for) and about 10 minutes later got the strangest call from a very paranoid sounding lady.

Me: [Store name] How can I help you?

Caller: Who is this?

Me: This is [name] from [store name].

Caller: What do you want?

Me:… Did you perhaps have a special order or a request a product be held for you here?

Caller: How the hell do I know? And what’s with the phone message about me picking something up any time I want?

Me: Ah, it sounds like you requested that we hold a product for you. In that case, if you give me your name I can tell you what it is and what it costs.

Caller: I’m not giving you my information! *hangs up*

Question of the Week

Have you ever served a bad customer who got what they deserved?

I have a story to share!
