Guest: Hi, we have a party of 6 coming in. Can I use your phone?
Me: I’m sorry sir, we can’t allow guests to use the phone and it doesn’t make outgoing calls anyway.
Guest: . . . you’re making that up! Why would it not make outgoing calls?!
Me: I’m sorry sir, it just doesn’t.
Guest: You’re making that up!
Me: *incredulously* Would you like me to go get my manager?
Guest: Yeah! Go get your manager!
Me: Alright.
(About a minute later)
Manager: *repeats what I said*
Guest: *walks off grumpily*
