I work at a well known beauty supply store with a didstinctive uniform. I’m also wearing a walkie, large name tag with a ribbon, and am using a hand scanner for stocking.
A guest comes up to me. “Do you work here?”
Me, smiling: “Yes, ma’am, I do.”
Guest: “Well, how the f**k was I supposed to know that?”
Me, still smiling: “No worries, happens all the time. Did you need assistance?”
Guest: “Yeah, I need you to wear a uniform!”
Me, turning back to my duties: “Will do ma’am.”
Guest storms off without another word.
