An older customer brings in an item to repair. The sales lady is super nice, but says, “Since this is a busy Saturday, that will take about an hour to fix.” The customer throws a fit at this, declaring she doesn’t have time to wait! We have a lot of gall to sell her such a terrible product, and make her wait such a long time to fix it!
The sales lady is visibly upset, and hands the item to a repair person, who points out that if the customer doesn’t like the wait for this free, complimentary service for customers, she is welcome to take the item to a competitor who will charge her for it. “The door is right behind you, if you’d like to use it.”
Here’s the kicker, though, the item to be repaired wasn’t even a brand that store carried.
