Me and two of my friends decided to get pizza. While we were driving to the pizza place i placed the order online on my phone. I received a confirmation email stating that my order would be ready in about 15 minutes. We arrived at the place about 10 minutes later, 5 minutes before the pizzas should have been ready. When we get there i go to the cashier to pay and ask how long before our food is ready. She says it should be ready any minute. After about 10 minutes of standing around waiting, 5 minutes after the food should have been ready, i go up to check on our order. Again i’m told it will be done soon. Another 10 minutes pass, 15 since the order was supposed to be ready, and i go ask again. The cashier seemed annoyed but went to check on it, then returned and let me know that they apparently had made a mistake and forgot to start making our order but they will start it right away. After another 20 minutes they finally start taking our order out of the oven, now 35 minutes after it should have been done in the first place. It is at this point that they realize they made yet another mistake and instead of the two cheese pizzas we ordered they made one cheese and one pepperoni. We say its okay, we just wanted our food, and proceed to take the order. As an apology for the inconvenience they provided us with a free two liter soda. The pizza was delicious and a free two liter in post soda tax Philadelphia is great ($4 for a single two liter these days) but waiting that long, especially when it could have all been avoided had the cashier actually checked when i first asked, is just ridiculous.
