Unfiltered Story #57146

Unfiltered | April 19, 2017

I was at a pizza place with my mother. I always eat my pizza with salami, but I absolutely hate ham on it. It was in the menu as “pizza with salami OR ham” and I told the waiter I wanted it with salami. As we got our food, there was salami and… ham on it!

Me: Excuse me, I wanted the pizza only with salami.

Waiter: Well, you said you wanted the salami pizza with extra salami, so I figured you meant ham.

Me: That doesn’t make sense at all, in the menu it is a pizza with salami OR ham, so I said I wanted it with salami.

Mum: Don’t make a scene, just eat it..

So, the waiter thought, I wanted something else and my mother thought I was making a scene, even though I had at least a little bit the right of being pissed.
And waiters, do NOT assume the person meant something else, they said it, and if you’re not sure, then ASK. Thank you.
