The thrift store I work in put out Christmas merchandise pretty much immediately after Halloween, hoping to beat the department stores to it. A woman has brought a pair of holiday items to my register.
Woman: I’m not sure about these. What do you think of them?
Me: Uh, well… they’re not for me –
Woman: Hmm…okay, no I don’t want these.
Me: I can take them and put them away for you if you don’t want them, but you should know you just asked a Jehovah’s Witness about Christmas decorations.
She looked surprised for a moment, then shrugged. She still didn’t buy them.
