(I’m working the cash register. My name, while not exactly unique, is sometimes uncommon, and I get a lot of comments on it.)
Customer: *after paying for his order* So, [My Name], huh? How did you get saddled with that name?
Me: *not missing a beat* My parents gave it to me.
(Both he and his wife got a good laugh about that, and so did my coworkers when I told them about it.)
