Unfiltered Story #56875

Unfiltered | July 6, 2016

I have to tell on myself here.

I’m covering the jewelry counter associate’s lunch. A customer asks me to change the battery in her watch. I get a new battery out from underneath the counter, ans change the battery. I close up the back and look at it, but the the hands don’t move.

Me: I’m sorry ma’am, but I changed the battery, but it still doesn’t work. I think the watch might be broken.

I then look down at the counter, the the new battery package is sitting there unopened.

Me: I’m sorry, I guess I just put the old battery back in, because I’m silly like that.
