Unfiltered Story #48037

(My brother and I were outside playing basketball while our neighbor’s family were visiting. For some reason, because I have a lisp, people tell me I have a British accent, even though I am not British at all. The backboard on our hoop is very loud for some strange reason. Anyways, after shooting for a while and making a fair amount of noise, our neighbor’s dad comes out.)

Neighbor’s Dad: SHUT THE F*** UP YOU F*****G IDIOTS! CONSIDER THE OTHER PEOPLE IN THIS NEIGHBORHOOD!

Me: Sorry, sir, we didn’t mean to annoy you.

Neighbor’s Dad: SHUT UP! YOU F*****G STUPID BRITISH CAN’T INVADE OUR HOMELAND AGAIN! *He turns to my brother who looks nothing like me* YOU! ANSWER ME!

Brother: Sir, please shut up. That is my brother. He is just as American as you and me. He just has a lisp

Me: Thank you, [brother]

Brother: As he said, we didn’t mean to disturb you and apologize for it.

Neighbor’s Dad: STOP F*****G LYING YOU F*****G B****! I KNOW YOU ARE ADOPTED!

(At this point, both me and my brother are pretty angry. I control my anger, but my brother can’t. He storms up to him and starts yelling in his face)

Brother: HE. IS. MY. BROTHER. We both apologized for making noise. WE CAN STOP! But please, sir, JUST. SHUT. UP.

(Finally, after hearing some commotion, our neighbor comes out.)

Neighbor: [Neighbor’s Dad’s name], Please stop harassing these children. They are always nice to everybody and have no right to be yelled at.

(Our Neighbor’s Dad starts yelling at our neighbor, going on for a few minutes, until our neighbor’s husband comes out. He says nothing, just grabs our Neighbor’s Dad’s arm and drags him inside).

Neighbor: I’m so sorry for you guys. He acts up a lot!
