My parents and I are playing a three person version of the game Hearts, in which the object of the game is to not take any hearts, or the queen of spades. At the beginning of each hand, players must pass three cards to the person to one side. Mom has just passed me the queen of spades.
Dad: *plays low spade*
Mom: *plays ace of spades*
Me: *plays queen of spades*
Dad: Why’d you play the ace?
Me: You just GAVE me that!
