(Summer vacation just ended and dad, feeling the weight of his years, especially after 8 weeks with the kids, was complaining about all the miles he drove to bring and haul the grandkids)

Me: you know dad, last week on the bus a girl was explaining how she was now driving her grandparents where they did the driving to and from all these functionalities when she and her Siblings were youngr Dad:(with an anxious look at his brand new car) you met on the bus? Who’se car was she driving?

Me: Euhm… I have to admit she didn’t mention that small detail. I guess you’ll know in about 2 years time (That is when the oldest could have a drivers licence and judging the expression on my dad’s face, he is not looking forward to it)
