(My boyfriend has asked me over quite late at night, and it being the middle of winter it is already pitch dark outside)
Me: So there’s a train at 9:58
Mum: I don’t like you walking alone on your own in the dark.
Dad: I’m not giving her a lift.
Mum: Me neither.
(I still fail to see the logic in this.)
