(I’m sitting on the couch when my brother walks up to me and bends over so he’s eye level with me and his face is kind of close to mine. Note we go to the same school.)
Brother: So. I heard you have a boyfriend.
(I’m confused, as I don’t have a boyfriend.)
Me: What? No I don’t!
Brother: What? But I heard…
Me: (realizing) Oh! (Friend) joked about him being my boyfriend! I guess someone overheard.
Brother: Oh. Okay then.
Me: By the way, do you realize how weird it is to just walk up to me, bend down so you face is uncomfortably close to mine, and say “So. I heard you have a boyfriend”?
Brother: Yeah, I guess.
