(A few days after my sister, mother and I discussed our weight – including how skinny my sister and I are, and how my mother is now average while also having been extremely skinny in her youth – our whole family goes to a restaurant.)
Father: “When she was your age, your mother was SKINNY! Not like the two of you!”
Mother: *after an awkward pause* “I weighed about 50 kilos back then. [Sister’s name] is 53, and [my name] is 49…”
(Sadly, he makes comments like this all the time.)
