Unfiltered Story #47804

Unfiltered | May 28, 2016

{The setup: My fiance has a social anxiety about working around-with others, he prefers to work as alone as possible. In addition, hes not been in the workforce very long. As the holiday season is coming up, he is looking for jobs & gets one temp working with a high end well known restaurant that has indoor eating with a catering business on the side. They hire him, & after 1 drive along ‘see how its done’ training session, they basically never call him back/return his calls OR pay him. He also has this ‘everyone is nice!’ complex. Ffwd to Dec 2013, this conversation happens early the morning before he has a interview with a very well known package delivery company}

Him: Im thinking Jeans and a tucked in polo for the interview, its way too cold for Khakis!

Me: Yes, good choice, hair in ponytail, undershirt too & no tie!

Him: Yuh, im glad you agree

Me: Your woman knows

Him: I know. The lady for {prior job mentioned} said i was doing it right, my presentability is right.

Me: On the word of 1 crappy employer…?

Him: Nah, she was good at her job. Wish i could get her some flowers or something & apologize for wasting her time.

Me: Wasting.. THEIR time!? They mistreated you as an employee. You. Never. Got. Paid.!

Him: Eh. you didnt see them like i did, excellent at their jobs.

Me: *SIGHS & FACEPAWS*

Him: <.<

{Needless to say… he still doesnt see them as ever doing him any wrong – despite him NEVER getting paid!}
