Unfiltered Story #416600
Back in 2015, I was moving from Tennessee to Wisconsin. I was bringing only a few things and my cat. My brother was taking me there and, since we had to stay at a hotel halfway there, I asked him to find a pet-friendly one. Well, he forgot and we ended up at a regular hotel.
We snuck the cat in thru the backdoor.
I was so nervous that my cat would make a mess or meow too much and would get us in trouble.
I set out some food, water and newspaper. Now, my cat had not used the bathroom since we left Tennessee, so about 6 or more hours. The cat loved the room, roamed all over then slept on the other big bed (it was a room with 2 queen beds).
The next morning, I noticed she still had not used the bathroom, but I could see she desperately needed to go. I guided her to the bathtub, she jumped in and looked at me. I told her it was fine and she then relieved herself and I washed it down the drain.
I was so proud of my cat at that moment.
Sadly, that cat died in the fall of 2021 at the age of 10. She had a tumor on her right flank. She was my best friend and a well traveled cat, as we came back to Tennessee in 2018. She will be forever missed.
