Unfiltered Story #410104
I’m the author of this story (Laundry Academy, [https://notalwaysright.com/time-to-open-a-laundry-academy/335339/].
Our daughters have reached a point in their growth when they can share certain items of clothing with my wife, and while I am generally able to sort their laundry without hassle, I have trouble with jeans, because between the brands and similar styles and colours it would just be a pain to remember. Thus, for five or six pairs, I have decided to place small initials of their first names on the brand tags of their jeans. They noticed and don’t seem to care, and the system has been working just fine.
I had this conversation, however, with my wife just the other day:
Wife: Why did You put an O on my jeans?
Me: The grey ones? [Younger Daughter] wore them, so I thought…
Wife: They’re still mine! I just lent them to her!
Me: All right, I’ll add You to the tag.
My wife sighed.
Wife: Don’t bother…
It seems she is close to giving up on that pair.
