Unfiltered Story #408240

My buddies and I are LARPING, which is ‘live action roleplaying’, in a state park.

We find a strange box in the woods, and thinking it’s part of the game, we open it up. It’s full of bags that are labeled ‘EXPLOSIVE. ANFO’.

We all skedaddled fast, ANFO is a name to run away from really quickly, and called 911.

The state police and bomb squad arrive and determine that it’s *probably* not /wired/ to blow up. There don’t seem to be any detonators in the box. It just looks like someone randomly left a crate full of ANFO sitting out in the weather.

We don’t really have any closure past that. The state police said they’d do their best to find out who dumped it there, but the fact that we opened it makes it harder for them to do so.

Scariest thing that ever happened to me while LARPING, that’s for sure.
