Unfiltered Story #400228
About sixish months ago (winter 2024), I was at big get-together a friend’s house and we were playing some games when we decided to get pizza delivered instead of going out for dinner like we normally do.
Unfortunately, my friend made the mistake of ordering from a particular franchise location that we later learned had the worst rep in the city.
First of all, the order was over two hours late with no communication about how long it was going to take. After 20 minutes, the app showed it as “out for delivery” but did not show the delivery vehicle’s location like it was supposed to.
When it finally was delivered, less than half the food was there. We got a Hawaiian and a cheese pizza, we didn’t get the vegetarian or pepperoni pizzas we were supposed to get, or the breadsticks or the other appetizer that I forget (maybe wings?).
The food was ice cold. So obviously it had been out of the oven for a long time.
My friend called the pizza place to see about getting either the rest of the order or a refund for the stuff that wasn’t delivered. He was very polite about it.
They hung up on him, then when he tried to call back he discovered that they’d blocked his number. He never got either, but the manager eventually offered him a coupon for 25% his next order. Obviously, he didn’t accept.
