Unfiltered Story #400227
Ever since the health crisis, my mother’s family has come together every week – online.
This means I get to hear the repetition from her three sisters every. single. week. (Names have been changed.)
Aunt #1> Didn’t you just go to your fiftieth high school reunion? How did it go?
Mum> Yes! It was great! Did I not send you the photos?
She proceeds to send the photos and has to explain every. single. person. in every. single. photo.
Mum> …and there’s Johnny Murphy, to the left of me –
Aunt #2> Johnny Murphy was there???
Aunt #1> Johnny Murphy!
Aunt #3> Johnny Murphy was there???
Mum> Johnny Murphy was there! And then here’s all of us ladies, me and Jackie and Meg and –
Aunt #3> Jackie and Meg were there, too?!
Aunt #2> Jackie and Meg!
Aunt #1> Jackie and Meg were there, too?!
Mum> Jackie and Meg – and Stephanie!
Aunt #1> Stephanie, too?!
Aunt #3> Stephanie!
Aunt #2> Stephanie was there too?!
Mum> Yes! And here’s the photo with us with our glasses, and here’s the photo of us without our glasses…
Something like this happens every. single. week. As much as I love my mum’s family and I don’t see them in person that often…I need to move out.
