Unfiltered Story #395850

This happened about 25 years ago, but the absurdity has stuck in my head. This happened in the late 90s, so many years before the heightened security of post-9/11 air travel, travelling back to Sydney from Singapore.

I had on my keys one of those inert bullet keyrings, with a ring welded onto the striking end. Clearly it was unusable as a bullet.

Going through security at the plane, so after the main airport security check, the flight crew saw the keyring and after a bit of discussion decided that it was too dangerous and confiscated it from me.

Fine, except they then let my dad onboard with his two new golf drivers in his hand, and the guys sitting in front of us had a few golf clubs too. I know which items I could do more damage with!
