(My mother decided to buy me a gym membership, which I don’t want. I tell her to return it. She says she’ll do it later, and places the membership in her glove box.

One month later: )
Mother: “I was looking to return your membership, and couldn’t find it. Where did you put it?”
Me: “I didn’t. You put it in the glove box.”
Mother: “Well, it’s not in there!”
(We look and cannot find it.)
Mother: “You cost me $300! How dare you!”
