Unfiltered Story #385620

I could tell it had been a long week at work and I was very tired when I had the following two conversations within the space of a couple of days. Names changed because children are involved but let’s just say the children on day 1 were Bobby and Lucy.

Day 1:

Me, to a colleague: So Lobby and Bucy were building a tower together…..

Day 2 (when we’d had the TV on as a treat but I’d just switched it off as it was dinnertime):

Child: Why have you switched it off?

Me: Because we’re not eating telly in front of the dinner guys…

(In my defence, it really had been a long week!)
