My workplace has self-serve coffee. The containers I have to rotate out hold about 4-5 cups of coffee. A customer orders a coffee and goes to fill it. She comes back a minute later.
Customer: so help me understand. I just paid for a half a cup of coffee?
She shows me her half full cup.
Me: um no? What do you mean?
Customer: well it stopped filling when it got halfway. I can try it again.
Me: it’s just empty. I’ll go get the replacement.
