Unfiltered Story #368901

(I’m in gym class, and playing a form of competitive frisbee. I try to block someone from passing the frisbee, and get hit in the face when he swings his arm to throw the frisbee.)
me: ow. aw, f***.
friend: you okay, (my name)?
me: hold on. (spits out something that had been in my mouth). oh, jeez.
friend: is that… your tooth?
me: (feels in mouth) wow. he snapped the tooth in half.
(fortunately, I hadn’t felt any pain, and strolled calmly to the gym supervisors. the person who broke my tooth hadn’t noticed what he’d done, and the game kept going.)
me(to teacher 1): hey, I broke my tooth.
teacher 1: (hadn’t heard me correctly) what did you say?
teacher 2: I think he said he broke his tooth.
teacher 1: let me see.
(it sinks in what I just said, and I get rushed to the nurse’s office, where I get called home, and then taken to a dentist for a replacement.)
