Unfiltered Story #366281
Working the evening shift at a small family owned takeaway shop. The owners are pretty relaxed with leftover food, and it is often given to the staff. Just me and one co-worker out front, really nice guy but there’s rarely a shift where he doesn’t find some way to screw up. At around 7pm he takes a phone order for a large pizza with no mushrooms, then promptly forgets to tell the chef about the mushrooms part. Later when my friend comes to pick it up (his girlfriend was allergic) we discover the mistake, I apologize, give him a discount and we start cooking a replacement straight away. While he’s waiting I’m chatting to him at the counter, when my coworker brings out 2 plates, both with slices of mushroom covered pizza on, tries to hand me one and starts munching away on the other while standing 3 feet away from my friend. We’re both staring in disbelief while he’s completely oblivious, and didn’t seem to understand what he’d done wrong when I confronted him about it later. Worst part is he’s now enrolled in pilot training school :/
