Unfiltered Story #365770
So the store doesn’t get much sales, currently I am the only one who opens the store. While I’m helping a customer, my boss is next to me on the till.
Customer: to go please
Me: sure! *Gives a friendly smile*
I go to give her a few napkins. For a six inch it’s one napkin but the gloves we have to wear makes it really difficult to indivually grab ONE napkin. I get the smallest which is like three or four about to put into the bag before the sandwich
Boss: hold on, only one napkin (my name) I can’t afford so many napkins being given out
Me: *does my best to get one napkin gets two now instead*
Boss: nevermind just give it so the customer can leave.
Another time with the boss, they were in the store and was complaining about this and that. Thinking I have control over my co workers and what they do
Boss: why are there so many veggies prepped?!
Me: I’m not sure.
Boss: *just nods and carries on.*
Skip a few more days and more stuff happens making it really difficult to deal with them more and more. Like why is this dirty or why so many dishes piled up?! I’m the only one working most of the time at the store. I can only do so much! I didn’t actually say it but I wish. They made it sound like I had dirty dishes next to the sink. No they were taking about the stuff on the drying racks. DRYING! Clean and already working on drying them. Sure there is a top shelf for certain lids but I can’t usually always put them up. If a customer walks in I forget to do it or move on to something else that needs to be done. This particular week, my shoulder was hurting and cramping up every so often it hurt to lift. Or if I get sick, they don’t care and still have me in come in. I’m always working mornings and now they have me on longer days. Instead of 2 it’s now 5. Three hours extra
