Unfiltered Story #365219

[To preface this, I was on a toilet break from my retail job. We’re located in a shopping centre/mall and don’t have toilets in our store, but there are some nearby. I’m standing in line and am next to get a stall. There’s a lady behind me with a child who’s probably 5 or 6.]

Mother: (said whilst staring directly at me and loudly) You REALLY need to go to the toilet, don’t you [name?]
Child: I’m okay Mummy.
Mother: (still staring at me) No! You REALLY need to go, don’t you?
Child: Nope, I’m okay!

[A stall becomes available and I walk in, because the whole passive aggressive shtick does nothing for me. If she had just asked, I probably would have let her go ahead. Anyway, the family stall next to mine opens up and she goes in, still being really loud.]
Mother: Alright [name] time for wees!
[after a short time, and more quietly]
Mother: Honey you need to use the toilet now.
Child: I don’t need to!
Mother: Well then it’s Mummy’s turn!!

[Next time maybe just drop the whole charade and be okay with needing to go to the toilet yourself? And not being so impatient. Good grief.]
