Unfiltered Story #364265
I am at a large family reunion held at a local park. Given the size of the family, there are dozens of kids running around and playing. My dad has been keeping an eye on my younger cousins, and has been giving one of the older ones (she’s almost 12) some grief–playing pranks on her, teasing her, etc. She’s about had it with him, and is waiting to fire back at him when one of the aunties announces they’ve set up a piñata for the kids. Everyone rushes over, and my almost 12-year-old cousin gets in line behind the younger kids. My dad is continuing to tease her, when she turns around and lays down a pretty snappy comeback:
Cousin: Now, piñatas are also sometimes called “dummies”, so please don’t be surprised if I hit you with the bat by mistake! *pats my dad’s arm in a comforting manner*
Dad: *speechless*
Me: I like this girl!
Sister: I knew there was a reason we kept her around…
